That One Otter Game
That One Otter Game

That One Otter Game is a playful co-op adventure where two young otters embark on a wild rite of passage, tackling silly park challenges like racing zebras, catching panicked penguins, or hauling a stolen radio to mountaintops. You explore a vibrant, reactive world full of surprises, unlock quirky hats, and enjoy chaotic fun with a friend.

During the development of the game, I primarily worked on the core system, with the objective of enhancing the chaotic aspect of game. To achieve this, I designed chain reactions involving our Gameplay Elements, allowing interactions to produce unexpected and dynamic results. While interacting with a GPE, I wanted to introduce elements of surprise and unpredictability. For example, throwing a simple can can make it fly across the map, hit a trashcan to scatter debris, or collide with another can to set off further reactions. I developed the entire GPE system to ensure that every element in the game could interact with one another, maximizing emergent gameplay and player-driven chaos.
